Final

Im looking at doing the chalk drawing. My last one turned out well and I liked the media alot. I like Acrylic but I dont like still lifes, Im going to try and see what happins. Still looking at the others havent found any other ideas for the other projects. Keeping my fingers crossed that it all works well.

Breadth #10

Looking at other artists macros are interesting. Looking at so many you really see every ones styles but at the same time they look alike.

Breath #8

The book for us to read talks about the importance of balance and proportion. I think I need to work on proportion alittle and look at what to make alittle bigger or smaller when Im drawing with an anamated look to it

Breath #7

DCA: The chapters review the 6 areas of light: cast shadow, reflected light, core shadow, shadow, light ,and highlight.
Colston: These pages talk about Perspective and the importinse of it
I need to focase on perspective and shadows because I stuggle with them sometimes.

Beradth #6

Andrew Wyth: wind from the sea
I love this panting because it just seems so calming and relaxing

Salvidor dail: landscape with butterflies
Its a combination of surrealism and a pretty landscape.

Unknown: unknown
I like the way Chinese landscape paintings because they capture the amazing look of nature, with simple lines and few colors if any.

Breath#5

DCA:
Texture is a sensce of tuch in a peace. Mark making can change the outlook of a drawing
Colston:
Sympal mark making can make somthing look more realistic or "better". sympal haching can make somthing look better.

Breath #4

DCA:
Smallest amounts of value make a large impact.
Colston:
Shapes of the image like the hidden triangles, hidden horizon line, rule of 3rds

Breath#3

DCA:
The chapter refers to looking at art in as many ways possible and to use space to the best of your abilities and to fit the concept of what your trying to say with your art.
Colston:
This reading talks about the strengths of negative space. we should use more to enhance our drawings

*See with our hands and touch with our eyes.
I like this quote it implies we need to see in different ways.

Readings

200 projects
this book told us to use our sketch books for everything almost like a journal. we need to stretch and work our artistic mussels. With what I read I think adding a few drawings to a portfolio from a sketch book almost dds a flare and shows what your personality is (maybe show both the portfolio and sketch book)
A contemporary Approach
This taks about the importense of geshure lines and sometimes drawing one single line to make a bigger picture.

I think both readings talk things Mrs.D has told us in the past and Mrs. D makes things seem more of an art form not just a small skill to have.

Geting lost in in all my ideas

Starting to finish up with the drawing that are needed and now Im starting to look at them all another time thinking "I could do this insted of what I did here". With all the ideas running Im starting to get alittle lost. Im trying to not 2nd guess myself but with the more I look at stuff the more I want to redue them and make them better.

going over old stuff

I am painting a social commentary peace and I have to go back and remember the simplest things like how lines make things look if there off by a small inch. I also have to remember all the little tricks Mrs.D showed me like using tape to get a stage edge. Its odd not having someone there to ask about the little things, but its a good challenge.
